We offer routine care, emergency assistance, pet bathing services and help with sterilisation programs. Our experienced, compassionate team are well-equipped and highly recommended by the community. We are now looking for a qualified Veterinarian to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to our animals. To apply you need a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, AVBC MQC Pass and have at least 10 years plus experience working as a Veterinarian. We are offering $80K to $85K.
Responsibilities:
• Examine, diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries and diseases in companion and/or livestock species.
• Perform surgical procedures (soft tissue, orthopaedic as required by the practice), including pre- and post-operative care and
anaesthesia.
• Prescribe and administer medications, vaccines and therapeutic protocols; maintain clinical records.
• Interpret and order diagnostic tests (radiography, ultrasound, blood tests) and interpret laboratory/pathology results.
• Provide obstetric, fertility and neonatal care where required.
• Deliver preventative medicine programs (vaccination, parasite control), herd/flock health planning (if large animal) and biosecurity
advice.
• Provide client education on nutrition, behavior, breeding, and disease prevention.
• Euthanasia performed in accordance with legislation and best practice when necessary.
• Supervise and mentor veterinary nurses and students; maintain workplace safety and infection control standards.
