At Fenwicks Marina our role is to enhance the enjoyment of boat ownership by streamlining repair and maintenance and elevating the berthing experience. We make it effortless, so you can fully embrace the boating lifestyle and all the joy it brings.

Here’s how you’ll be a part of our team

•Part-time, Permanent position

•Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

•Located in Brooklyn, NSW, just 25 minutes from Gosford or Hornsby

•Note: We have a rotating roster for weekend work (Do we need this role?)

Fenwicks Marina, an award-winning facility on the Hawkesbury River, is seeking a yard hand to become an integral part of our daily operations. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with lifting boats in and out of the water, water blasting and scraping the hull and running gear, setting boats on the hardstand, fuelling customer vessels, providing support to our maintenance staff and yard team, and operating forklifts and towing if you have the appropriate license.

Your Typical Day Will Focus On

• Safely and efficiently assist in lifting boats, ensuring proper handling and care.

• Conduct water blasting and meticulous scraping of hulls and running gear.

• Secure boats on the hardstand with precision and attention to detail.

• Dispense fuel to customers, maintaining accurate records.

• Working seamlessly with maintenance staff and yard team to ensure smooth operations.

• Operate forklift and towing equipment skilfully and safely. (if you have your appropriate license)

• Uphold cleanliness and organization in the work environment, as we keep a high standard to a neat and tidy yard.

What You’ll Bring to The Role

• Prior experience in a marina or boatyard setting is advantageous but not essential.

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

• Boat License or willingness to obtain one.

• Demonstrated physical fitness with the ability to handle heavy objects.

• Exceptional teamwork and communication skills.

• Safety-conscious mindset and dedication to following safety protocols.

• Adaptability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
