Byrne Trailers is a leading manufacturer of Heavy Vehicle Transport Equipment with its Head Office based in Wagga Wagga NSW and a division in Toowoomba QLD.

About the role:

Byrne Trailers is seeking an experienced Welder/ Metal Fabricator (Heavy Vehicles) to join our team in Wagga Wagga. This is a full time position where you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of our high quality trailers.

What you'll be doing:

- Welding and fabricating components for specialised Livestock and Bulk Cargo Transport Equipment

- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

- Operating a variety of metalworking equipment, including MIG and TIG welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools

- Preparing and finishing metal components to a high standard

- Collaborating with the production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects

- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

What we're looking for:

- Extensive experience as a welder and metal fabricator, ideally within the heavy vehicle industry

- Strong understanding of welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

- Proficient in the use of metalworking equipment and tools

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship

- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication or equivalent qualification
