About
We’re on the hunt for a filmmaker who can craft a high-energy, story-driven short film of our wedding - something closer to a fun, documentary-style mini-episode than a traditional “cinematic wedding video.” Think a beginning, climax, and end… interviews, cheeky moments, suspense-building cuts, and a storyline that feels natural, playful, and engaging. What we’re looking for: - Documentary or reality-TV editing experience (weddings preferred but not essential - we care more about storytelling, energy, and personality). - Available in person, May 1st & 2nd, 2026 in Mt Tamborine, Queensland (travel expenses can be discussed if you're not local). - Ability to blend drone footage with on-ground, close-up storytelling. - Comfort collaborating ahead of the day to map out the storyline, key beats, interviews, fun moments, and the overall vibe. - Strong editorial instincts - able to take the raw footage and craft a narrative that feels alive and unscripted. A final product that feels like a short, engaging story, not a classic slow-mo, vow-overlaid wedding film. We want something fresh, addictive to watch, fun, emotional, and personality-packed. The vibe: Documentary honesty + reality-TV energy + editorial polish. No stiff acting, no awkward posing. We want the real us. If this sounds like your kind of creative playground, please apply with: - Examples of past work (weddings, documentaries, reality-style editing, short-form storytelling - whatever best shows your style) - Your availability for the dates - Estimated pricing/packages - A quick note on how you’d approach building a story with us
