Your New Role
As a Waste Sorting Operator, you’ll play a critical role in keeping recyclable materials out of landfill and supporting Cleanaway’s sustainability goals. No two days are the same in this active, high-energy environment.
Your day will include:
• Sorting recyclable and non-recyclable materials on a fast-moving conveyor belt
• Working on an elevated platform as part of a close-knit operations team
• Maintaining clean, safe, and tidy work areas through regular housekeeping
• Following safety procedures to ensure a zero-harm workplace
• Contributing to a positive, respectful, and inclusive team culture
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, staying active, and being part of something bigger than just a job.
What You’ll Bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
• The ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test and standard physical medical
• Reliable transport to commute to the South Guildford site daily
• Confidence working at heights on elevated platforms
• Good physical fitness — including climbing steep stairs and standing for most of the shift (fatigue breaks and lunch breaks provided)
• A strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Eligibility for a wage subsidy
