About Your Role

  • Reporting to the Planning & Logistics Manager, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to join our team at our Mariyung Maintenance Facility. In this pivotal position, you will oversee all aspects of inventory and logistics for UGL, partners, and customer-owned inventory, while leading our team to support production objectives with precision and efficiency.
  • This role will be offered on a full-time permanent basis, with up to 6 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory through accurate stock management and cycle counts.
  • Logistics Coordination: Plan and coordinate transportation of goods, manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of warehouse staff, promoting a culture of inclusion and collaboration.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence

About You

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in similar role, especially in the Rail industry or other safety-critical environments (automotive, defence, avionics, mining or heavy industry)
  • Software Utilisation: Proficiency using software tools like MS Office (Word, Excel), warehouse management software and databases.
  • Previous SAP experience essential.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills: Focus on promoting diversity and inclusion
  • Commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Adopting New Technologies: Demonstrated willingness to embrace new technologies, methods, and systems.
  • Independent Work and Multi-tasking: Proven ability to independently organize and prioritise tasks, manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
