About the Role:
Tile Up Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Wall and Floor Tiler to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This position offers a salary of $76,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, laying, and cutting tiles, and ensuring a high-quality finish across a range of residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and Planning
- Interpret and examine plans to measure and mark tiling layouts on floors and walls.
- Remove old tiles, grout, and adhesives to prepare surfaces for new tile installations.
- Clean and level surfaces by filling holes, cracks and ensuring an even base.
- Handle tile delivery, storage, and material inventory on-site for efficient workflow.
2. Tile Installation
- Apply tile adhesive accurately to prepared surfaces to secure tiles in position.
- Cut and shape tiles using manual and powered tile-cutting tools for a precise fit.
- Install tiles neatly around fixtures, fittings, and corners to ensure consistent alignment.
- Ensure consistent spacing and accurate alignment of all installed tiles.
3. Finishing Work
- Mix and apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout cleanly after setting.
- Clean installed tiles and work areas to maintain a tidy, finished appearance.
- Inspect completed work for quality, alignment, and finish before final handover.
4. Safety and Compliance
- Follow all site safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE during tiling operations.
5. Communication and Teamwork
- Communicate with site supervisors or clients regarding progress and any required adjustments.
- Work effectively both independently and in small teams to meet project deadlines.

Job Requirements:
- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent qualification in tiling or a related field.
- At least one year of practical experience working as a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret building drawings and tiling specifications.
- Skilled in cutting, shaping, and installing tiles with a focus on precision and quality finishes.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, and working in diverse conditions.
- Familiarity with workplace health and safety practices and adherence to industry standards.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality work across residential and commercial sites
