Placed.au is looking for a full-time Wall and Floor Tiler for our client in Wantirna, Victoria. This role suits a skilled tradesperson with hands-on experience in tiling, waterproofing, and caulking across residential and commercial projects. You will be part of a professional team delivering high-quality workmanship with a strong focus on durability, precision, and finish.

Job Description

• Review blueprints, drawings, and project specifications, accurately measuring and marking surfaces to plan tile layouts.

• Prepare walls and floors by removing old tiles, grout, and adhesives, repairing cracks or surface imperfections, and thoroughly cleaning surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion.

• Position, align, and secure tiles with precision to achieve correct spacing, symmetry, and a professional finish.

• Apply waterproofing systems and install a range of finishes, including ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass tiles, granolithic, terrazzo, and
cement-based surfaces.

• Seal tile joints effectively to enhance durability and prevent moisture penetration.

• Perform caulking work to create clean, seamless edges and high-quality finishes across all installations.

• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project standards.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite in line with workplace health and safety requirements.

• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines and client expectations.

Skills & Experience

• Must hold a Certificate III, including at least two (2) years of on-the-job training, or a Certificate IV in Wall and Floor Tiling or at least three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.

• Must have a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience in wall and floor tiling.

• Knowledge of laying ceramic, clay, slate, marble, and glass tiles on internal and external walls and floors to provide protective and
decorative finishes.

• Strong understanding of tiling, waterproofing, and caulking techniques.

• Organised with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary Range

$75,000 – $90,000 per annum, excluding superannuation.
