Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable, diligent, experienced and highly motivated person to join our dynamic team as a vineyard hand for a 5 month seasonal period. The role involves various tasks related to harvesting grapes from paddocks and includes (but is not restricted to) pruning, netting, sorting and grading grapes, long periods of standing outside, and be willing to pitch in on other jobs on the farm as needed to get a job done. Commencement & duration:
- Start: On/around May - October/November 2026
Duration: Fixed seasonal term ~6 months, expected to finish October/November 2026 (subject to weather/crop).

Employment type & classification:
- Type: Casual.
- Award: Wine Industry Award 2020 (MA000090), Level 1 (Vineyard Hand/Viticulture).

Hours of work:
Ordinary hours: Target ~38 hrs/week over the season (casuals are engaged by the shift; hours not guaranteed).
- Typical shifts: 8-10 hours, early starts (about 6-7am); rostered 6-7 days Mon–Sat with occasional Sundays in peak.
- Weather dependent: Hours may pause or extend with crop readiness and weather.
- Penalties/overtime: Weekend, public holiday and overtime paid as per the Wine Industry Award.
- Superannuation: Paid at the statutory rate in addition to wages.
- Pay cycle: Weekly.

Breaks:
- Meal break: 30 minutes unpaid after no more than 5 hours work.
- Paid 10 minuterest break(s): Provided per Award and site procedure.

Location: Apslawn; may rotate across nearby blocks.

Physical demands: Prolonged standing/walking outdoors, repetitive bending/reaching, lifting/carrying up to ~20 kg.

Transport/licence: MUST have own reliable transport and relevant valid drier's licence to site.

Right to work & checks: Must hold valid Australian work rights; reference/other checks may apply.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience on vineyards preferred
- Current valid Australian driver's licence
- Own reliable and compliant vehicle
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations
