Veterinary Surgeon: Position Overview:
Treendale Pet Medical is seeking an experienced full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our skilled and compassionate team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. The position is ideal for a veterinarian with at least
four years of small animal practice experience who is passionate about professional development and expanding their areas of expertise.

Salary & Benefits:
• Annual Salary Range: $80,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience).

Key Responsibilities:
• Routine medical consultations, vaccinations, and health assessments.
• Manage and treat a wide range of medical cases.
• Perform soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries.
• Provide oncology and chemotherapy services.
• Conduct diagnostic imaging including radiology, ultrasound, and CT.
• Undertake sonography, dermatology, ophthalmology, and emergency medicine.
• Deliver emergency and critical care, including trauma and poisoning cases.
• Interpret diagnostic blood work, radiographs, and laboratory results.
• Provide nutrition, weight management, breeding advice, and routine health checks.
• Prescribe and dispense medications using best-practice protocols.

Skills & Requirements:
• A recognised veterinary science qualification accepted in Australia.
• Registration (or eligibility) with the Board of Veterinary Surgeons of Western Australia.
• Minimum 4 years’ post-graduate small animal practice experience.
• Competence in basic surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, and diagnostic imaging.
• Ability to manage a mixed caseload of medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with emotional intelligence.
• Willingness to work in a shared weekend emergency roster and after-hours rotation.
• Growth mindset and commitment to continuous professional development, with interest in developing a specialty (e.g., surgery, imaging, dermatology, oncology, cardiology, emergency and critical care).

Veterinary Nurse: Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our professional team. The successful applicant will assist veterinarians in diagnosing, treating, and caring for animals, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, loves animals, and delivers exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high standards of nursing care to hospitalised patients.
• Assist veterinarians during consultations, procedures, and surgeries.
• Administer medications, anaesthetics, and vaccinations under supervision.
• Monitor anaesthetised patients and provide recovery care.
• Perform pathology sample collection and diagnostic testing.
• Educate and support pet owners with aftercare, nutrition, and preventative health.
• Maintain clinical records and ensure compliance with veterinary standards.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and biosecurity protocols are maintained.
• Manage stock, prepare equipment, and support day-to-day clinic operations.

Skills & Requirements:
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent, or eligibility for recognition in Australia).
• Experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital (preferred).
• Strong animal-handling skills and knowledge of animal welfare.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with clients with empathy.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work weekends and participate in a roster if required.
