ICBM SERVICES PTY LTD is looking for an experienced Vehicle Painter for our client's auto repair and mechanic service provider across NSW, WA in Australia. On a full-time basis, you will be part of a multidisciplinary and well-supported team.

Title: Vehicle Painter, Full- time position
Salary: A$ 85,000.00 to 95,000.00 plus super
Work Location: In person.

We are looking for applicants who demonstrate the following:
Requirements

• Certificate 3 including 2 years’ experience or Certificate 4 in Automotive Refinishing Technology
• Proficiency in using spray guns, brushes, and other painting equipment.
• Understanding of different types of paints and finishes, including primers, base coats, and clear coats.
• Knowledge of colour matching and mixing techniques.
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
• Reviewing vehicle specifications and client requirements.
• Removing old paint, rust, or surface imperfections by sanding, grinding, or chemical treatments.
• Cleaning and masking areas to prevent overspray and ensure neat application.
• Priming surfaces to create a smooth base for painting.
• Mixing paints to achieve desired colours and finishes.
• Applying coats of paint using spray guns or other equipment.
• Ensuring even coverage and smooth texture throughout the surface.
• Applying clear coats for durability and shine.
• Inspecting painted surfaces for imperfections and addressing them as needed.
• Polishing and buffing the surface for a flawless finish.
• Removing masking materials and cleaning the workspace.
• Delivering paint jobs that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Ensuring colours are accurately matched and finishes are consistent.
• Maintaining painting equipment for optimal performance.
• Storing paints and chemicals safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Adhering to safety protocols to minimize exposure to harmful chemicals and fumes.
• Wearing protective gear such as masks, gloves, and goggles.
• Parts Management: Order and manage automotive parts inventory to ensure availability for repairs and maintenance.
