About the Role
You’ll be responsible for preparing and painting vehicles to pre-accident condition or better, following high-quality repair standards. From prep to final coat, you’ll handle every aspect with precision and care. You’ll work closely with the panel beaters and estimators to ensure a smooth handover and delivery of each job.
This role suits someone who genuinely enjoys the trade and takes pride in delivering work that speaks for itself.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare vehicles for painting, including masking, sanding and priming
• Mix and match paints to ensure accurate colour blending
• Apply primer, base coat and clear coat using spray painting equipment
• Inspect finished jobs for defects and quality assurance
• Maintain spray booth and equipment in clean working order
• Follow workplace health and safety guidelines
• Work closely with the panel shop team to ensure efficient workflow
Skills & Experience
• Trade qualification in automotive spray painting or equivalent
• 3 + years industry experience
• Previous experience in a smash repair or vehicle restoration environment
• Strong knowledge of paint systems, materials and application processes
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality finishes
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
• Reliable, punctual and takes ownership of your work
