Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Truck Driver (General) to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will be responsible for transporting general freight to various destinations across WA, ensuring deliveries are carried out safely and on time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
-Operate heavy or multiple combination trucks to transport general freight across WA.
-Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the truck is roadworthy.
-Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is properly secured in accordance with safety standards.
-Plan routes and manage delivery schedules to meet deadlines.
-Complete and maintain accurate delivery documentation and logbooks as required under NHVR regulations.
-Liaise with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules, delays, or issues.
-Adhere strictly to company policies, fatigue management protocols, and transport legislation.
-Participate in safety briefings and uphold all health and safety procedures.
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience driving heavy vehicles in a freight transport environment.
- Minimum Cert III level qualification is required.
- Hold a current and valid HC, or MC class driver’s licence.
- Solid understanding of Australian road transport laws and safety compliance.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
- Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary & Benefits:
- Annual salary between $75,000 – $85,000 (commensurate with experience)
