Our client Convenience Marketing Solutions Pty Ltd trading as Shikha Transport has been at the forefront of Western Australia’s heavy transport sector — has a story of growth, innovation and an unwavering commitment to clients’ success. The vision is to be the most trusted and efficient bulk-haulage partner for the resources and agricultural sectors in WA, delivering every load safely, on time, and with the utmost professionalism.

Shikha Transport operates a modern fleet including quad and super-quad trailer combinations to optimise payload and reduce vehicle movements. The services cover large-scale movement of iron ore, nickel, grain, sand and other essential raw materials, shuttle runs from mine sites to processing plants and ports, and timely agricultural haulage during peak harvest seasons. We provide integrated, end-to-end logistics solutions tailored to mining, construction and farming clients.

Shikha Transport is seeking full-time Truck Drivers experienced in heavy/bulk haulage to join its Maddington operations. These roles are vital to safely and efficiently moving high-volume bulk and palletised freight across WA, supporting production schedules, port transfers and construction/agricultural supply chains.

Essential requirements

• AQF Certificate II or III in Driving Operations, or equivalent heavy vehicle qualification.
• Minimum one year full-time experience in bulk haulage, multi-combination or heavy vehicle operations.
• Valid MC (Multi Combination) driver licence (or applicable heavy vehicle licence for combination vehicles) with a clean driving history.
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate quad / super-quad trailers and manage high-payload loads.
• Familiarity with GPS, electronic logbook systems and modern fleet telematics.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shift work, nights and occasional regional travel.

Key responsibilities are set out below:

• Safely operate heavy vehicles including quad and super-quad trailer combinations for bulk and palletised freight.
• Perform shuttle runs, port transfers, site deliveries and bulk haulage for mining, agricultural and construction customers.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment; secure loads in accordance with load-restraint requirements.
• Conduct accurate pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete vehicle defect reporting.
• Maintain required driving and shift records (work diaries / electronic logbooks), fuel and mileage records.
• Adhere to fatigue management rules, heavy vehicle regulations and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch and site personnel regarding ETAs, delays and site requirements.
• Report vehicle faults and coordinate routine maintenance; assist with minor on-road repairs where safe and appropriate.
• Uphold high standards of customer service and professional conduct at client sites.
• Comply with site specific induction, safety and environmental protocols (PPE, permit to work, site inductions).
