Tv.Viasat trading as Top 10 provides rope access, rigging, technical, training and project management services to the telecommunications, mining and construction industries. Based in Perth, Western Australia our teams can be deployed to a variety of locations in WA (or interstate) that range from mine sites in remote rural locations to skyscrapers in CBD.

We are currently looking for Telecommunications Technicians to join our field-based teams for several projects around WA.
Job responsibilities will include:
• Install, maintain, repair and diagnose faults in telecommunications systems, including microwave, satellite, telemetry, multiplexing and other radio/electromagnetic wave communication systems.
• Interpret technical drawings and documentation to identify correct positioning and connections for telecommunications equipment
• Install, secure, terminate and test coaxial and optical fibre cables, including DC and hybrid cables, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
• Install and maintain underground or above-ground equipment enclosures.
• Install and align antennas and radio equipment such as outdoor radio remote units, masthead amplifiers, combiners and splitters.
• Erect and maintain telecommunications towers, poles and guide masts.
• Install and test Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) and related systems.
• Install telecommunications services to buildings and cell sites in both metropolitan and remote locations.
• Locate and diagnose faults in telecommunications equipment using testing instruments, and carry out adjustments, replacements or repairs as required.
• Monitor equipment performance to identify potential faults and ensure continuity of service.
• Organise and monitor cabling and installations to ensure compliance with safety, quality and industry standards.
• Provide technical advice and progress updates to supervisors.
• Follow occupational health and safety policies and procedures in all work activities.
• Complete daily reports for supervisors, including work completed and hours recorded.

About you

• AQF Certificate III (or equivalent) PLUS at least two years of relevant experience OR at least three years of relevant experience
• The ideal applicant will already be able to legally live and work in Australia and have the relevant qualification and/or field experience in the Telecommunications Mobiles industry working with Ericsson and Nokia equipment.

What we offer

The role is for a full-time position with an annual salary between $70,000.00 - $90.000 per year.

The salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Our company can sponsor for 482 Visa however in those instances we would only consider people with significant experience and equivalent certifications to those which are listed above.
