We are seeking an experienced Telecommunication Technician to join our expanding team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth delivery of NBN projects by supporting installations, fault rectifications, and ongoing network maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
As a Telecommunication Technician, your duties will include but are not limited to:
• Installing and configuring telecommunications equipment including fibre cabling, network pits, conduits, and customer connections in accordance with NBN standards.
• Inspecting pits, ducts, and conducting conditions to assess condition, conduct cleaning, or perform upgrades where necessary.
• Testing and troubleshooting telecommunications systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission testing equipment to locate and repair faults.
• Performing repairs, adjustments, and replacement of faulty components, ensuring restored functionality of telecommunication services.
• Conduct cable hauling operations safely using conduit slippers, rollers, and other specialised equipment.
• Identifying and locating buried pits and ducts using underground asset locators and completing reinstatement works after clearance.
• Carrying out pit cleaning, blockage removals, and minor civil works including trenching, conduit installations, and pit placement.
• Running internal cabling and performing in-house installations to meet customer service requirements.
• Ensuring all work is completed with strict adherence to safety standards, environmental requirements, and NBN policies.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and reporting project progress to supervisors.
Skills & Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must have:
• At least 1 year of relevant industry experience.
• AQF Certificate IV in Telecommunications Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of NBN standards, safety regulations, and industry practices.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation
Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
