  • We’re looking for a Technology Risk Manager to join our Tech Risk & Governance team.
  • In this role, you’ll leverage your technical skills to develop, maintain, and support innovative solutions that solve real-world challenges in the payments industry. From designing and building scalable systems to ensuring seamless integration with key technologies, your work will directly impact millions of users.

You’ll also make an impact by

  • Develop and Enhance Risk Frameworks: Lead the creation and continuous improvement of Cuscal-wide technology risk frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Embed Risk Practices: Partner with product domains and corporate functions to embed technology risk management practices and resilience into everyday activities, embed controls, and monitor/report on issues.
  • Executive and Board Reporting: Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management and the Board, highlighting key risk areas and recommendations.
  • Focus on AI and Emerging Technologies: Stay informed about the latest developments in AI and other emerging technologies to proactively identify potential risks. Support Cuscal teams in rapidly adopting new technologies in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Controls Automation: Lead initiatives to automate technology risk & controls monitoring processes using advanced tools and technologies.
  • Innovation Advocacy: Promote a culture of innovation in risk management practices, encouraging the adoption of new approaches and technologies.
  • Qualifications
  • What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll have

  • Financial Services Experience: 4-6 years of experience in technology risk management within the financial services industry, or equivalent consulting/professional services experience

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following

  • Risk Frameworks: Deep understanding of risk management and IT frameworks and standards such as ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and relevant APRA guidelines (CPS234, CPG235, CPS230, CPS220)
  • Emerging Technologies: Demonstrated experience in managing risks associated with AI, machine learning, and other emerging technologies.
  • Proven Change Leader: Prior experiencing leading risk maturity uplift at another organisation within a function, business unit or risk class.
