  • Vena Energy is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Technician to join our operations team. This role supports the ongoing operation and maintenance of the site, providing hands-on assistance to electricians and other personnel in line with training and competencies. The successful candidate will contribute to the safe, efficient, and compliant performance of the facility. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Management Assist with creating inspection checklists and documentation for site equipment (structures, LV plant, civil, mechanical, etc.) Support development of site-specific plans (e.g., vegetation maintenance) Conduct basic inspections and repairs Perform maintenance activities on plant and equipment to the extent of knowledge and competency Medium Voltage/High Voltage Operations Participate in HV switching activities as permitted by training and competency Asset Operations (PV) Execute preventative maintenance tasks per schedules and manuals Manage and audit spare parts inventory Respond to incidents and outages within competency limits Risk Assessment & HSSE Management Support implementation of Vena Energy’s Integrated Management System (IMS) Assist with HSSE documentation (Risk Registers, SWMS, permits, audits) Participate in HSSE workshops, inspections, and investigations Prerequisites: Completion of Year 10 schooling Trade certification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Fitter and Turner, Welder) Minimum one year of experience on an operational solar asset Strong mechanical aptitude, particularly in equipment maintenance Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Skilled in the use of hand and power tools Basic computer literacy and ability to use digital systems Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment High level of safety awareness and adherence to safe work practices Effective task management and time prioritisation skills Strong situational awareness in dynamic work settings Experience in community engagement or stakeholder interaction Valid Class C Manual Driver’s Licence Good to have: Experience working with complex HSSE systems Skilled in fault finding and diagnostics Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with document management systems Forklift operation experience and certification Trained in working at heights Current LVR/CPR certification (Low Voltage Rescue / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Are you ready to engineer a greener future?
