We are seeking a highly skilled Technical SEO Specialist to support our in-house SEO and development teams in identifying, reporting, and resolving Search Console and on-site technical SEO issues for multiple eCommerce websites. 🛠 Platforms: WordPress (WooCommerce) Shopify Occasional custom themes and plugin configurations Key Responsibilities: Audit Search Console for errors, coverage issues, indexing problems, and structured data conflicts. Provide actionable technical SEO recommendations tailored for eCommerce sites. Work closely with developers to suggest or review code-level solutions (but not required to implement directly). Collaborate with our in-house SEO and content teams to ensure technical compliance with SEO best practices. Deliver regular updates on progress and outcomes through ClickUp and Slack. What We're Looking For: Deep technical knowledge of SEO (crawling, indexing, sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, etc.) Solid experience working with Shopify and WordPress (WooCommerce) platforms. Familiarity with schema markup, core web vitals, and JavaScript SEO. Ability to use tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc. Clear communicator who can document issues and proposed fixes for developer handover. Independent freelancer only – no agencies. Nice to Have: Knowledge of Shopify Liquid or WordPress PHP structure. Experience with bulk SEO fixes across large product catalogs. Familiarity with eCommerce-specific SEO challenges like pagination, faceted navigation, and duplicate content.
