Inspec Resources is currently recruiting for experienced and qualified Technical Sales Representative to join their team in Dysart QLD

The successful candidate will need to undertake:

- Adhere to, consistently behave within and uphold company values.
- Ensure work performed is carried out in accordance with Company & Client standards.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, in accordance with Company/Client and legislative requirements e.g. JSEA forms, SLAM, task lists.
- Ensure all work is performed safely (including equipment and tools used) in compliance with company/client and legislative requirements.
- Provide appropriate controls for material and physical security on site.
- Compiles lists of prospective client businesses using directories and other sources
- Acquires and updates knowledge of employers' and competitors' goods and services, and market conditions
- Visits regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities
- Assesses customers' needs, as well as recommends and explains goods and services to them
- Monitors customers' changing needs and competitor activity, and reports these developments to sales management
- Quotes and negotiates prices and credit terms, and completes contracts and records orders
- Arranges delivery of goods, installation of equipment and the provision of services
- Reports to management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services
- Follows up with clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased, and resolves any problems that arise
- Prepares sales reports and maintains and submits records of business expenses incurred
- Confirming if parts are in stock in the warehouse or if they need to be order for works to be completed.
- Ordering of parts and completion of paperwork including purchase order numbers
- Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
- Liaise with suppliers for urgent orders required
- Liaise with suppliers for ETA of all orders
- Confirming parts have arrived as per ETA dates for works to be completed.
- Follow up on outstanding orders and backorders
- Liaise with freight companies for delivery of goods and collection of orders to be transported.
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Stocktake – counting of physical inventory to ensure all stock is always accounted for
- Prepare orders for delivery to internal business units
- Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items
- Report any discrepancies
- Enter data for receiving orders into the internal logistics program
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
- Safe operations of forklift
- Implement and maintain appropriate environmental controls.
- Required to hand in paperwork completed and correct daily.
- Required to report any incidents or problems to Branch Manager immediately.
- Ensure all PPE and uniforms worn correctly & kept to a clean standard.
- Ensure housekeeping is always to a high standard.
- Required to maintain vehicles, operate in a safe manner at all times & follow Company policy requirements.
- Other duties as requested.
 
Skills and Abilities:
- Class C driver's licence
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift
- Formal Qualification/Trade or 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Class LR, MR or HR driver's licence
- High Risk Work Licence – Crane
- Certificate III in Warehousing Operations
- Zero Harm - Strong Safety Focus
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in inventory software, database or systems
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to work in a team with varying levels of supervision

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
