About the Role: We’re seeking a Technical Response Engineer (Permanent – Full Time), who thrives on solving complex technical challenges while working collaboratively with IT colleagues. You’ll play a key role in driving efficiency, sharing knowledge, and keeping skills sharp through ongoing learning in emerging technologies. Location - TSA Independent School - Lawnton Campus , QLD. Purpose of the Role: The Technical Response Engineer is responsible for delivering timely and effective technical support, combining independent problem-solving with strong collaboration across IT teams. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, optimising operational efficiency, and promoting knowledge sharing within the team. A commitment to continuous professional development is essential to ensure up-to-date expertise in emerging technologies, industry standards, and organisational requirements. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise and level 2 support for the Microsoft 365 platform, resolving incidents, service requests, and problems across multiple channels. Contribute to the design, configuration, and technical direction of the Microsoft 365 platform to optimise business capability and collaboration. Administer and support Microsoft Teams Calling and cloud telephony devices, ensuring reliable and seamless communication. Collaborate with level 3 support teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex issues impacting business operations. Streamline workflows and improve efficiency through automation, with a strong focus on security and best practices. Manage endpoint operating system patching, application deployment, and software updates for student and end-user devices. Maintain and modernise standard operating environments (SOE/MOE) in line with organisational needs and industry standards. Oversee the full lifecycle of end-user devices, including deployment, maintenance, and replacement of computers for staff and students. Ensure the smooth operation of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Store applications for all users. Develop and deliver user-friendly training materials, manuals, and technical documentation to empower end-users. Partner with internal teams to improve departmental processes, ensuring adaptability to evolving technology and best practices. Plan and define project scopes, manage vendor relationships, and apply technical expertise to deliver service assurance and critical business outcomes. About You/ Skills Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar technical role within a large and complex organisation. Strong expertise in cloud computing, networking, security, and ITIL V3/V4 foundations. Proven experience with Microsoft 365 suite, including Office, Teams Calling/VC, SharePoint, and Windows Server. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager for device and application management. Experience in application packaging and developing standard operating environments (SOE). Exposure to Microsoft Azure and related cloud services (highly regarded). Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): Productivity or equivalent certification (desirable).
