The Team Partner Success is dedicated to supporting Partners to drive Customer Success. We achieve this by providing pre-sales support, enablement and engineering solutions that inspire confidence in Salesforce systems and capabilities. This team supports the ANZ Partner Ecosystem through quality consulting resulting in the successful implementation and adoption of the Salesforce Customer Success Platform. The Partner Success team collaborates closely with Partner Account Managers, Partner Sales Managers, and a wide array of cross-functional teams including Sales (AEs), Solution Engineering (SEs), the Customer Success Group (CSG), Services, Product, and Partner Support. The Role The role of a Technical Architect in the Alliances & Channel’s Partner Success team is to provide Partner PreSale Support to Partners in the ANZ region. The role is both business and technical - it is as important to understand the customers’ requirements and use cases as it is to understand how our solutions meet these. You will also play a key role in coaching & mentoring the team around you whilst simultaneously being hands on technically. The Technical Architect must have a strong desire to demonstrate their technical and/or solutioning skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value. There are two main functions of the team: 1. Assessment & Evangelization: Deep understanding of the partner landscape and AI+ Data +CRM solutioning. Sharing a compelling Agentforce story to our partner ecosystem, capturing partner mindshare, and driving integration of Salesforce technology into partner use cases. Collaborating closely with internal teams to provide the optimum solution development for Customers through amplifying partners. 2. Solution Co-Creation: Providing technical expertise for Salesforce products and solutions to the partner ecosystem, supporting our Global System Integrators (GSIs) and Regional/Local SIs. Leadership and scalable resources such as demo assets, holodecks, technical reference architectures, customer stories to drive sales growth. Our Technical Architects serve as a strategic advisor and platform expert to Salesforce Partners who are either ‘Managed’ or deemed to be strategic. They will collaborate with our Partners during solution development cycles to share their extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform and product suite, focusing on providing expertise on our AI products solutions (both new and existing, acquired and core) where required. Combined with their experience in technical architecture, enterprise integration, and business solution implementation, they directly drive toward the best possible solutions. They paint a solution vision, architect the system, and provide guidance to internal & partner teams during the sales process and initial implementation (aka Activation). Technical Architects are highly effective interacting across technical and business resources from the developer level through mid-management and above and are therefore a trusted advisor for business and technology collaborators. Your Impact Strategic Solution Leadership: Design and guide scalable technical solutions, acting as the advisor lead architect to align work and ensure business and technical requirements are met for partners. Trusted Advisor & Relationship Builder: Develop strong relationships with internal product teams and external partner teams, serving as a trusted advisor and expert on Salesforce innovations, best practices, and value propositions. Technical Expertise & Implementation: Provide hands-on technical consulting, configuration, and implementation expertise, particularly with Salesforce Platform, AI & Data products (e.g., Data Cloud, Agentforce). Cross-Functional Collaboration & Guidance: Work closely with Partner Account/Sales Managers and collaborate with diverse internal teams (Sales, SE, CSG, Services, Product, Partner Support) to direct early solution evaluations and support planning. Enablement & Mentorship: Mentor diverse teams (customers, partners, colleagues) on technical delivery and non-technical topics like communication, while contributing to internal growth initiatives and knowledge sharing. Partner Enablement & Growth: Engage partners to understand their needs, define compelling use cases, and deliver demos to showcase how Salesforce's data and AI capabilities drive customer success. Pre-Sales & Technical Support: Support pre-sales activities by positioning Partner AI solutions and assisting with technical responses for RFPs/RFIs. Experience/Skills required Experience working as Solution Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant, Technology Consultant, for/with a Salesforce Partner, Systems Integrator, experience building AppExchange Apps is a plus Experience in a major Salesforce Industry such as FINS, RCG, HLS, CMT or Manufacturing. A detailed understanding of Web Services, Data Modeling, and Enterprise application integration concepts, including experience with enterprise integration tools (ESBs and/or ETL tools), and common integration design patterns with enterprise systems (e.g. CMS, ERP, HRIS, DWH/DM). Prior hands-on experience and a strong familiarity with Salesforce declarative configuration and coding best practices are required 3-4+ years experience in a technology-facing role in industry (product management, technology delivery, business analysis, consulting, etc) Specializes in gathering and analyzing information and designing comprehensive solutions that are flexible and adaptable to the partner’s needs Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies Deep understanding of the AI and Data technology landscape - including affinity with Snowflake, AWS, GCP products & solutions. Experience in creating machine learning/AI models, both predictive and generative, with business valued use-cases and outcomes. Ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration. Experience in guiding partners and project members in rationalising and deploying AI technology for business use cases.
