About the Role We’re seeking a Senior Bubble Developer to lead day-to-day development and support of our live Bubble app, while also helping us gradually migrate workflows to APIs and embed React components in the front end. This hybrid role blends no-code delivery with modern engineering practices and plays a key part in our long-term transition to a React + API architecture. Key Responsibilities 🔹 Bubble.io Development & Support Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using Bubble.io’s visual platform Implement complex workflows, secure data models, and features like authentication, payments, and visualizations Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces for desktop and mobile Collaborate with designers to turn Figma designs into production-ready UI Monitor performance, resolve issues, and keep the app current with platform updates App Store deployments, and cross platform mobile apps. 🔹 React Embedding & Front end Modernization Develop and embed reusable React components into Bubble Ensure responsive, accessible web design Integrate front end components with back end APIs for seamless user experiences Test and maintain embedded features for performance and reliability 🔹 API Integration & Migration Design and implement robust API integrations with third-party services Build and consume custom APIs and webhooks for efficient data exchange Ensure secure, scalable, and efficient handling of data Monitor, test, and optimize API performance Document integrations and contribute to migration specifications 🔹 Collaboration & Delivery Work in agile sprints with PMs, designers, and backend engineers Communicate clearly with stakeholders and resolve blockers quickly Contribute to architectural decisions, documentation, and code reviews Help improve platform maintainability and delivery velocity Required Skills and Experience 🔹 Technical Expertise 4+ years of hands-on Bubble.io development (workflows, plugins, integrations, testing) Solid experience with React (web); React Native exposure is a plus Strong API integration skills with domain services Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL database design Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows 🔹 Programming Skills Strong JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+) foundation Familiar with React ecosystem and RESTful API design Experience with responsive UI, mobile-first design, and API-first workflows 🔹 Desirable Technical Skills Familiarity with other no/low-code tools (Webflow, Airtable, Zapier) Exposure to PostHog feature flags, Twilio Flex/Video, and CI/CD pipelines Understanding of modern API and microservice patterns 🔹 Industry & Domain Experience Consulting or agency experience preferred Experience with e-commerce, payments, UX, and performance tuning Awareness of security, data privacy, and compliance best practices 🔹 Soft Skills & Professional Development Clear communicator and proactive problem solver Self-managed and delivery-focused in agile environments Passion for continuous learning and mentoring Engagement with dev communities or open-source contribution is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate, based on experience Hybrid work setup — must be based in Sydney and available to work from office Work on diverse, high-impact projects across industries Access to modern tooling, cloud platforms, and best practices Collaborate daily with experts in Bubble, React, and API-first architecture
