The Client

Joy Surgical Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company producing quality medical equipment supplier in Melbourne. They supply and distribute implants and instruments for spine and orthopaedics. They are looking for supply chain and distribution manager to join their team.

The Role

The role for hire is a Supply Chain and Distribution Manager based in Melbourne, VIC, it is a full-time role with an annual salary between $135,000 to $145,000, depending on experience plus superannuation.

The Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective supply chain and distribution strategies

Forecast demand and plan supply requirements in coordination with sales and production

Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors

Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without overstocking or stockouts

Monitor and manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch

Coordinate logistics and transportation for timely and cost-effective delivery

Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards across the supply chain

Analyze supply chain performance and implement improvements based on KPIs

Prepare and manage budgets for supply and distribution activities

Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions

Use ERP and inventory management systems to track goods and resources

Supervise and train logistics, warehouse, and procurement staff

Collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain operations with business goals

Ensure proper documentation and reporting of supply chain processes and performance

The Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of supply chain and distribution management experience in professional capacity

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the medical equipment industry

Minimum 3 years experience working with third-party logistics providers 3PL

Minimum 3 years experience in demand forecasting, sales and operations planning (S&OP), and inventory optimization

Minimum 3 years experience in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation

Minimum years’ experience in using ERP and supply chain management systems either SAP, Oracle, NetSuite

Provide operational strategies, information, and reporting for the business and senior management

Strong trend analysis and attention to detail
