  • Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital We are currently seeking an experienced and efficient Supervisor Environmental Services (Cleaning and Waste management) to support the Coordinator Environmental Services to maintain a high-quality standard of cleaning on all allocated areas by training, supervising and motivating the Environmental Services team to complete assigned duties. Your role will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleaning and waste management are met and consistently maintained in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and cleaning schedules. The role is offered on a permanent part-time basis, working 16 hours per week. The Position: Assess current processes and coordinate with the Coordinator any areas for improvement in order to enhance the quality of cleaning and services provided in the hospital. Conduct cleaning and linen audits within scope of Housekeeping and provide timely feedback and support to caregivers. Ensure that all necessary supplies, equipment and uniforms are available and in good working condition. Work closely with the Administration Assistant Support Services to ensure the effective delivery of Environmental Services related administration services. Prepare and review rosters and leave requests in a timely manner as required. As guided by the Coordinator, conduct performance management of Environmental Services and Waste Management caregivers. Assist the Coordinator with annual Performance and Development Plans for caregivers in the Environmental Services Department. To thrive in the role, you will have previous experience supervising a team in a cleaning environment with the ability to assist in training programs for caregivers. Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to gain and maintain staff support and trust will be key to your success. You will have a demonstrated knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling requirements and will be able to coordinate resources effectively through roster planning and leave management. Proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of a range of MS Office software packages and systems will be required.
