Set across multiple decades and cities, this narrative blends visual storytelling, musical emotion, and cinematic framing. The video is already well-developed with: - A final script - Character and style references - A detailed scene-by-scene shot list We now need an experienced storyboard artist & animatic creator to bring it to visual life. NOTE: We're open to proposals from artists who can only complete the Storyboards portion of this job, if your attention to detail and character expression work is very high. We highly value expressive storytelling and clear acting in stills. We may handle the animatic separately during the next phase. Visual Style & Tone The animation style is painterly, expressive, and cinematic - think illustrated storybook meets animated feature film. It should feel emotional and warm, but with modern clarity and energy. Think: - Soft brushwork, painterly texture - Dynamic lighting (golden hour, rainy neon streets, stage spotlights) - Saturated but balanced colour palettes - Expressive faces and body language - characters must act through stills Style references provided include: - Full colour mock-ups - Films and illustrations with emotional realism - Disney/Pixar-style character clarity in a more painterly, soft-edged world What We Need We're looking for someone who can storyboard the full video and deliver a timed animatic synced to the music. You’ll be responsible for: - Interpreting the script and creative references - Creating ~120–150 storyboard panels (greyscale or semi-clean) - Capturing story pacing, emotional beats, camera angles - Assembling a full animatic synced to the song - Including simple camera instructions (e.g. pan, hold, zoom) Deliverables Storyboard - ~120–150 grayscale or line-art panels - Expressive gestures, environment framing - Labeled with shot/scene numbers - Format: PSD, Procreate, PDF, or PNG Animatic - Synced to final 4:55 MP3 - Basic transitions and camera notes - Output: MP4 & project file (preferably Premiere/After Effects) Ideal Candidate You are: - A strong visual storyteller with a painterly or illustrative touch - Skilled in conveying emotion and rhythm through boards - Comfortable with cinematic framing and animation pacing - Experienced in music-driven or director-led visual projects - Proficient with Procreate, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, or similar Bonus: Experience with romantic or emotionally driven short films or music videos.
