Job Title:   Speech Pathologist (Paediatrics) - New Grad or Experienced - Kingaroy, Queensland.

Job Type:  Permanent – Full-Time.

Practice Information:
This role is working within a private practise run by a speech pathologist. The clinic services a rural location with clinic appointments and some travel. This role has opportunity to be involved in our kindergarten development programs also. It is a varied and fulfilling role.

About the Role:
The role offered is for a Speech Pathologist to join a private practice within a dynamic and fulfilling role. This role contains a mixture of clinic and mobile services and could be offered as a contracted agreement for a percentage of clinical fees, or a salary employee as permanent fulltime. This role will be a paediatric caseload, however, if you have an interest in seeing adult clients there are options for this also. Within the role, you will provide 1:1 face to face services, run group programs, engage in parent coaching and training and have the opportunity to facilitate kindergarten programs. Your workday will be based around your preferred service delivery modes to best suit you and your working style.

Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Paediatric Speech Pathologist, you will take on a rewarding and diverse role that allows you to make a real difference in children’s lives.

Key responsibilities include: 

Client assessment and therapy
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs.
Develop and deliver personalised therapy plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Provide therapy through telehealth, face-to-face sessions in Kingaroy, or a combination of both, based on your working arrangement.
Work closely with families, educators, and other professionals to support each child’s development.
Offer coaching and strategies to parents, carers, and educators to enhance carryover of therapy goals.
Mentor and supervise Therapy Assistants
For candidates in a drive-in-drive-out model, deliver face-to-face therapy as per a mutually agreed schedule.
Create and utilise engaging therapy resources to support client goals
Assist in developing online materials and programs to extend the reach and impact of House of Speech.
Stay updated with evidence-based practices and incorporate them into your therapy
Contribute to the growth of the practice by leading or participating in innovative projects.
Maintain accurate client notes, progress reports, and records in line with organisational policies
Manage your schedule effectively to balance client sessions, preparation, and other responsibilities. However, please not this role has full administration support.
