About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer / Solution Architect to take ownership of the design, development, and ongoing evolution of our core web platforms. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on engineering capability and solution-level architectural thinking, working closely with business stakeholders to translate product and operational requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable systems. The position is suited to candidates with 7–10 years of experience building and architecting production-grade web applications and SaaS platforms in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyse business and user requirements and own the end-to-end solution architecture, including system design, technology selection, and integration patterns for web-based platforms
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, API-driven, and multi-tenant web applications, covering both backend services and frontend components
• Define and enforce architectural and coding standards to ensure system performance, security, reliability, and long-term maintainability
• Build and integrate backend services, REST APIs, databases, and third-party systems, including payment gateways and external services where required
• Deploy and operate systems in cloud-based production environments, supporting CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments (Docker), and release workflows
• Collaborate with founders, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business objectives into technical solutions and roadmaps
• Provide technical guidance and design oversight to development teams, reviewing key implementation decisions and mentoring developers
Required Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 7–8 years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer, Senior Engineer, or Solution Architect
• Demonstrated experience designing and building production-grade web platforms, not just isolated features
• Strong experience with API-driven, SaaS, and multi-tenant architectures
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as ReactJS, NextJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with backend technologies including Python (Django), NodeJS, PHP, or Spring Boot
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable Experience
• Experience with event management, ticketing, or digital commerce platforms
• Integration of payment gateways, merchant systems, or financial workflows
• Exposure to workflow automation, analytics, or AI-enabled features
• Experience supporting platforms with concurrent users and transactional workloads
