• As a Senior Software Engineer on the Unreal Ecosystem team, you will work with a passionate team of engineers in the development of plugins, tools and systems that empower all developers and collaborators to make the best game experiences for our players.
• The Unreal Ecosystem (UnEco) team collaborates with partners across Riot, all contributing to a stronger, more efficient Unreal development environment. You’ll navigate diverse technical challenges, ramping up quickly on new topics and solving complex problems in ways that empower both developers and, ultimately, our players.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software systems with a focus on quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Participate in the technical planning process
• Uphold a high standard of engineering excellence. Participate in code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and contribute to continuous improvement of team practices.
• Write clear documentation and communicate technical details across teams and disciplines.
• Participate in the on-call rotation; resolve live incidents & propose solutions in RCAs
• Provide mentorship to more junior members of the team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a comparable field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years experience in professional software development
• 3+ years of professional experience and proficiency with C++
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, concurrency, etc.)
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating across disciplines
• Strong communication within and across teams

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with game development teams
• Experience with game engines (ex. Unity, Unreal Engine)
