Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Software and Applications Programmer to design, build, test and maintain high-quality software solutions that support business operations and digital transformation initiatives. This role is suited to a technically strong professional who enjoys problem-solving, working across systems, and contributing to the full software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, scalable applications.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse business and system requirements to design effective software and application solutions.
Develop, test and maintain application code in line with defined technical specifications and quality standards.
Identify system limitations, performance issues and process inefficiencies, recommending practical improvements.
Debug, diagnose and resolve application defects within established testing and release frameworks.
Collaborate with analysts, engineers and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with functional and technical needs.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, operational guides and user instructions.
Support integration of applications with existing platforms, databases and third-party services.
Contribute to software upgrades, enhancements and version control activities.
Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
Provide technical input into solution proposals, including effort estimation, feasibility and cost considerations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
Proven experience in software or application development across commercial or enterprise environments.
Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages (e.g. Java, C#, Python, JavaScript or similar).
Experience with application testing, debugging and troubleshooting methodologies.
Understanding of system design principles, APIs, databases and software architecture concepts.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into working solutions.
Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
Exposure to cloud platforms, containerisation or microservices architectures.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems and automated testing tools.
Relevant industry certifications or ongoing professional development in software technologies.

Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year + Super
