- Are you ready to scale a high-performing sales team across one of the fastest-growing and diverse regions in SaaS? Asana is looking for a strategic, data-driven, and customer-obsessed Small & Medium Business (SMB) Sales Manager to lead our high-velocity sales motion across the APAC & JPN (APJ) region. Based in our Sydney office, you’ll be responsible for building, developing, and inspiring a team of Account Executives focused on converting new business and expanding existing relationships with our small and mid-sized customers.
- The SMB segment is built on top of our Product-Led Growth (PLG) engine. We help new customers realize early value from Asana, guide growing teams through their first key milestones, and create paths to long-term success. You’ll drive regional strategy and execution, enable predictable and scalable revenue growth, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the SMB customer journey.

- This role is based in our Sydney office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve
- Own the APJ SMB book of business & deliver growth across a hybrid selling model
- Manage and mentor a team of SMB Account Executives focused on new business and expansion across APJ
- Define and implement prospecting and deal management strategies tailored to the APJ market, while consistently generating healthy pipeline, driving velocity, and closing with quality
- Create scalable enablement processes that shorten ramp time and support career progression
- Use tools like Salesforce, Clari, Outreach, and Pocus to drive forecast accuracy, team productivity, and deal velocity
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales Development, Enablement, Product, and Customer Success to align GTM strategy and optimize customer outcomes
About you
- Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making
- 2 years of leadership experience in a quota-carrying role leading a team of Account Executives and/or Sales Development teams
- Demonstrated experience and success in an individual contributor quota carrying role
- Japanese Language skill also beneficial
- Experience leading fast paced teams with an ability to work with ambiguity in a fast moving environment
- Strong leadership skills, keen business acumen and a passion for driving excellence and innovation
- A passion for coaching, developing and transforming world class talent
- An aptitude for problem solving and developing creative solutions
- A history of developing and implementing prospecting strategies to build pipeline
- Selling to and supporting the Marketing, Sales, Operations, HR and Collaboration (IT) functions plus familiarity with working in Product Led Growth / Sales Assisted businesses

- For this role, the estimated base salary range is between 182,050 AUD - 206,800 AUD. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
- In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
