We’re on a mission to keep solar panels out of landfill and recover valuable materials. PV Industries is growing fast, and we’re looking for an experienced Site Operations Lead to take ownership of our Derrimut facility, lead a small team, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
About the role
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day operational involvement. You will oversee all site activities, from running our specialised recycling equipment to managing workflow, team performance, maintenance works and workplace safety.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, coach, and support the site operations team
- Manage daily warehouse and processing activities to meet production targets
- Oversee operation of recycling machinery and ensure optimal performance
- Implementing maintenance works and schedules
- Coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing stock
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and productivity
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone with more than just warehouse experience—you’ll need to bring leadership, technical know-how, and operational discipline. You’ll be confident making decisions, solving problems on the fly, and leading from the front.
- Proven experience in site or warehouse operations management
- Experience with tools and machinery, a strong mechanical understanding
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Forklift licence – essential
- MR licence – desirable
- Solid understanding of workplace safety practices
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved on the floor when needed
