About

Hey there, I’m looking for a proactive, detail-savvy Shopify product and website manager to help improve and enhance our Shopify store. I run a growing ecommerce brand called Hackerlily – we make award-winning, doctor-approved parenting gear (like our hero product, the HipSurfer) that takes the weight off parents, both physically and mentally. I’ve built the site and manage all the apps myself, but time is limited – so I’m looking for someone reliable who can help implement, optimise and fine-tune the Shopify experience with fresh eyes and a creative approach. This is a project-based role to start, but if it’s a good fit, there’s potential for ongoing work (1–2 projects per month). Think of this as a trial to see if you get the brand and can apply it to Shopify in a creative, non-AI-looking way that actually drives conversions. 🚧 First Round of Tasks 1. Implement Platmart App ($30) Break my current 8-variant hero product into 8 standalone products Ensure they display and function properly on the product page Products need to sync correctly across filtered collections, search, bundles, etc. Turnaround: 5 days 2. Improve Website Speed & Optimisation ($30) Resize and compress current images, GIFs and videos Optimise homepage and key product pages without compromising visual quality Please include in your pitch: your target speed score (mobile & desktop) and how you’d aim to get there 3. Embed 4 New Sections via Sections Store ($30) Select and install 4 relevant, on-brand Sections Apply them to the homepage and/or product pages (based on guidance) Ensure clean layout, good hierarchy and mobile responsiveness Bonus points if you bring UX suggestions for how we can improve scroll flow, CTA placement, or image/text pairings 4. Checkout & Post-Purchase Optimisation ($30) I’m currently using Monster Cart Upsell but looking to improve the whole experience This includes: Better visual design and messaging (aligned to my new branding) Cleaner, on-brand upsells during checkout Adding a post-purchase offer using something like Aftersell (or something you recommend) Please include examples or a Loom walk-through of past work if available I’d love to see proof that you can improve the experience in a way that feels native, not templated 🧠 Ideal Experience Intermediate to expert Shopify skills Confident using Platmart, Sections Store, Monster Cart Upsell, Aftersell, or similar You understand the importance of UX and brand consistency (not just function but feel) You have good taste. You know how to make a page feel scrollable, shoppable, and clean You’re easy to work with, open to feedback, and confident managing projects solo (but not afraid to check in if you’re unsure) 💸 Budget $30 per component = $120 total for this project phase Flat rate, not hourly. 📩 To Apply Please include: A short intro and your Shopify experience 2–3 links to stores or pages you’ve designed, built or optimised How you’d approach: Breaking down variants using Platmart Optimising site speed (share target speed score) Post-checkout flow with my branding And finally: What makes your work feel “un-AI” – real, scroll-stopping, and conversion-driven? Thanks! Laura Founder – Hackerlily
