About Us:
Muse Fine Line Tattoo is not your average tattoo studio. Since opening in November 2024, we’ve built a space that blends fine line tattoo artistry with beauty services like professional makeup and permanent makeup, and also hosts unique in-studio events such as sip-and-paint sessions. We’re a close-knit, passionate team of professionals working under one roof, and we’re growing fast. Now, we’re looking for the right person to step into a vital role: Shop Supervisor.
About the Role:
We’re seeking a proactive, people-focused Shop Supervisor to help us manage the day-to-day flow of the studio and support both our artists and clients. This is more than just a managerial role it’s about creating a warm, professional, and creative environment where everyone can thrive.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Opening and closing the retail studio, including securing premises and reconciling daily sales
• Supervising day-to-day retail operations, ensuring smooth workflow across service counters and front-of-house areas
• Coordinating schedules and assigning daily duties to staff, including tattoo artists and reception personnel
• Managing inventory levels, ordering retail products and consumables, and conducting regular stocktakes
• Overseeing customer service standards to ensure high-quality interactions and satisfaction
• Training new staff on point-of-sale systems, customer engagement procedures, and health & safety compliance
• Responding to client inquiries and resolving service issues in-person, via phone, email, and social media platforms
• Enforcing studio health, hygiene, and safety protocols in accordance with retail industry standards
• Monitoring equipment functionality and coordinating maintenance to avoid service interruptions
• Preparing weekly reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and operational improvements
• Supporting promotional events and campaigns, including merchandise displays and client engagement activities
Who We’re Looking For:
You’re someone who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and takes initiative without needing constant direction. You understand that every artist works differently—and you know how to learn quickly, read people well, and match clients with the right artist based on style, personality, and experience. You’re organized, communicative, and solution-oriented, with a natural ability to make everyone—from clients to coworkers—feel welcome and supported.
Required Skills & Qualities:
? Solid understanding of the tattoo and beauty industry
? Ability to quickly assess artist strengths/weaknesses for effective client pairing
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Experience managing or supervising a small team
? Problem-solving mindset with a calm, professional attitude
? Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
? Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
? Goal-oriented with a team-first mentality
? At least 2 years of work experience as a retail supervisor.
?? Bonus: Fluency in another language is a plus, but not essential
