I am looking for a Service Maintenance Supervisor for a government agency in Cairns. This role would be a great fit for a construction tradesperson or a Service Maintenance Supervisor who is interested in transitioning into a more technical advisory position with Qld Government Agency

Duties include:

• Contract administration covering a range of preventative maintenance services.
• Supervision of contractors and trade staff.
• Technical knowledge and good understanding of building services.
• Competent in the use of excel, word and outlook.
• Participate in and facilitate WHS audits.
• Undertake on-site WHS inspections including plant and equipment checks.
• Good understanding of procurement and work order management processes.
• Good understanding of technical specifications and service frequencies.

About you:

• Maintenance Construction Background
• Intermediate level of MS Excel skills including being able to create spreadsheets to monitor construction tenders
• Experience in tendering and costing for the construction industry
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customers and in-house staff both written and verbal
