Role Overview
We’re seeking a visionary Senior UX Designer to lead the design of intuitive, engaging, and gamified banking experiences across web and mobile platforms. You’ll work at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution—translating complex financial journeys into delightful user experiences that drive behaviour and deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead UX strategy and execution across Moroku’s digital banking products
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and executive teams to align design with business goals
• Facilitate design thinking workshops with clients and stakeholders to define scope and vision
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and behavioural analysis to inform design decisions
• Translate insights into wireframes, prototypes, and compelling design narratives
• Champion accessibility, usability, and gamification principles across all touchpoints
• Mentor junior designers and foster a culture of innovation and excellence
• Contribute to pitches, RFPs, and strategic proposals with high-impact design assets
Skills & Experience
• 10+ years in UX design, including 4+ years in a leadership role
• Proven success designing for fintech or financial services, ideally in global markets
• Mastery of Figma (including advanced prototyping and design system management)
• Proficiency in animation tools (After Effects, Lottie) and microinteraction design
• Strong portfolio showcasing strategic thinking, complex user flows, and gamified experiences
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and front-end constraints
• Experience applying design thinking and service design methodologies
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced design workflows and responsible implementation
• Commercial acumen with the ability to articulate business value through design
• Exceptional communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and C-suite presentations
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, HCI, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Exposure to international audiences and culturally adaptive design
• Passion for personal finance, investing, and economic empowerment
