We have a custom headless storefront integrated with Shopify via the Storefront API and need an experienced Shopify consultant to review our setup and provide expert recommendations. This is NOT a development project - we need a senior consultant to audit, advise, and document gaps and optimizations. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. INTEGRATION REVIEW - Audit current Shopify Storefront API integration - Identify gaps in cart, checkout, and order flow - Review product/variant configuration - Assess headless commerce best practices compliance 2. PAYMENT IMPLEMENTATION REVIEW - BNPL options (Afterpay, Klarna, Clearpay) - PayPal integration - Credit/debit card processing - Multi-currency considerations - Recommend optimal payment gateway configuration 3. PRE-ORDER TO SALES CONVERSION - Advise on - and implement workflow for converting waitlist/pre-orders to actual purchases - Deposit handling and balance collection strategies - Customer communication during conversion phase 4. FULFILLMENT WORKFLOW - Order management recommendations - Shipping rate configuration review - International shipping considerations - Fulfillment app/integration recommendations 5. CUSTOMER COMMUNICATIONS - Transactional email setup review - Order confirmation, shipping, delivery notifications - Abandoned cart recovery - Customer account management 6. SECURITY & COMPLIANCE - PCI compliance review - Data handling best practices - Fraud prevention recommendations DELIVERABLES: - Detailed audit report (Google Doc or PDF) - Gap analysis with prioritized recommendations - Implement agreed changes and validate roadmap with effort estimates - End-to-End Dry run to validate process pre-order and post-order to fulfilment REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: - 5+ years Shopify development/consulting - Proven experience with Shopify Storefront API / headless commerce - Strong knowledge of payment gateway integrations - Experience with pre-order e-commerce flows - Familiarity with international shipping and multi-currency - Excellent documentation and communication skills PREFERRED: - Shopify Partner or Expert certification - Experience with hardware/electronics e-commerce - Knowledge of Australian, US & UK e-commerce regulations is preferable.
