Department of Defence (SA) is seeking a Senior Server Engineer to design, implement, and optimise secure, resilient, and high-performance server environments supporting both IT and Operational Technology workloads. This is a critical onsite role in Darwin, requiring deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware administration, aligned with Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) standards.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory environments, including migration to a new AD Forest in a sensitive, high-availability environment.
Build and manage VMware virtualisation infrastructure to support enterprise workloads.
Implement security remediation and uplift in line with ASD requirements.
Utilise monitoring, vulnerability, and fault analysis tools to optimise server performance and resilience.
Install, customise, and maintain Windows server operating systems and hardware to meet client needs.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with clients, staff, vendors, and service providers.
Produce detailed documentation, including architecture diagrams and as-built configurations.
Work closely with stakeholders and system owners across multi-disciplinary teams.
Uphold organisational safety, environmental, and quality standards.

What You Bring
Proven expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware administration.
Strong troubleshooting skills in complex, high-availability environments.
Experience implementing security uplift and remediation in line with ASD guidance.
Proficiency with monitoring and fault analysis tools.
Excellent communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Close attention to detail with strong documentation skills.
