Job Description We’re searching for an experienced Senior Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our Health, Safety & Training team. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the charge in maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and statutory compliance across our open cut operation. Partnering with operational leaders, you’ll provide expert guidance, strengthen risk management strategies, and champion a proactive safety culture that drives real results on site. Reporting to the Health & Safety Superintendent, you’ll use your expertise and commitment to lead audits, inspections, and compliance reporting. You’ll also take ownership of developing, implementing, and monitoring critical controls and risk management plans, while driving continuous improvement across safety systems and processes. About You Extensive safety and compliance experience in open cut coal mining (senior advisory or leadership level). Strong knowledge of QLD mining legislation, WHS Act/Regulations, and compliance frameworks. Proven ability to influence, coach, and engage with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent communication, investigation, and reporting skills. Relevant qualifications in WHS, risk management, or equivalent. Just as importantly, we’ve worked hard to make sure you feel valued.
