ATTRACTIVE FULL TIME SALARY We are looking for a SENIOR/ADVANCED OpenStack, DevOps + Networking Engineer to work full time remotely for our Sydney Cloud Company - Amaze Communication. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE ADVANCED OR BEYOND IN OPENSTACK, DEVOPS AND NETWORKING. The hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday (AEST Sydney time) to start immediately. As an OpenStack Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain robust OpenStack environments to support our cloud services. Your expertise in Linux administration, Python scripting, and cloud orchestration will ensure seamless automation, scalability, and performance. Collaborating with a talented team, you’ll solve complex challenges, implement DevOps principles, and shape the future of our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack components and services. - Automate tasks and processes using Python and cloud orchestration tools like Helm and SaltStack. - Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of OpenStack environments. - Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues related to OpenStack. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate OpenStack with other systems. - Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance. Technical Skills: - Linux Administration: Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and securing Linux operating systems. - OpenStack Expertise: In-depth understanding of OpenStack architecture, components, and services. - Python Scripting: Ability to write and maintain automation scripts. - Cloud Orchestration: Hands-on experience with tools like Helm and SaltStack. - DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles. - Networking Proficiency: Strong understanding of routers, firewalls, BGP, and other network protocols. - Advanced skills in private cloud, Openstack, networking and DevOps. Other Skills: - Analytical thinking and problem-solving expertise. - Adaptability to rapidly changing technologies and environments. - Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and knowledge sharing. - Team player with a proactive approach to achieving goals. - Excellent time management and attention to detail. Education and Experience: - More than 4 years of experience in cloud computing and systems engineering - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Other qualifications that would be a plus: - OpenStack Certification (e.g., Certified OpenStack Administrator - COA) - Linux Certification (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, or LFCS) - DevOps-related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, or similar) - Networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or Juniper certifications) - Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM) TO APPLY: 1.
