The Senior Officer, Compliance provides AML Compliance support to Western Union, its affiliates and authorized representatives/agents to create and implement programs as well as monitor transactions to ensure compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering Act, Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and other regulations governing Money Services Businesses. Role Responsibilities: Provides AML Compliance support the business of Western Union and its affiliates to build programs that are following Australia, Pacific Islands, the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and other anti-money laundering laws as they apply to Money Services Businesses. Supports efforts to comply with company policies and procedures as they relate to anti-money laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), and Proliferation Financing (PF) regulations. Evaluates internal controls and compliance programs through transaction analyses, compliance reviews and training sessions. In addition to standard program reviews, the Sr. Compliance Officer will be assigned tasks that are more complex in nature and non-routine including review of regulatory requirements, referrals from risk management, requiring more advanced analysis, reasoning and judgment skills. Role Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Compliance field. Bachelor’s or master’s Degree preferred. 4-6 years of experience in compliance, program management, auditing, and risk management. or banking. Excellent written and verbal communication and training presentation skills. Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to analyze, utilize industry standards an employ sound judgment to draw conclusions regarding the status of an agent's compliance program. Excellent multi-tasking ability. Highly developed and demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft applications. Role also requires having the ability to travel 50%.
