We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Transactions Officer to join our Finance Operations team in Adelaide CBD office a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Accounts Payable & Receivable Team Lead, you will be coordinating end-to-end accounts receivable (primary) and accounts payable (supportive) processes, ensuring accuracy, adequate segregation of duties compliance, and timeliness in financial transactions. The role supports the Accounts Payable & Receivable Team Leader (as a 2IC) and Financial Control Manager in overseeing cash flow management and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiencies and fosters a close working relationship with our Commercial Market Services team. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process overseeing invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and customer query resolution while supporting an AR Officer with complex queries and workload as required. Drive timely collections and minimise overdue debt by proactively managing customer accounts, monitoring DSO, and escalating risks as appropriate. Partner with internal stakeholders and external customers to align billing with contractual terms, support negotiations with customer payment trend insights, and maintain positive commercial relationships. Ensure accuracy and compliance across AR and AP by reconciling sub-ledgers to the general ledger, monitoring internal controls, and adhering to accounting standards, policies, and tax requirements. Support financial reporting and planning through aged debtor/creditor analysis, cash flow forecasting, audit preparation, and Payment Times Reporting. Champion continuous improvement and team capability by mentoring junior staff, developing process documentation, and implementing automation to enhance Order-to-Cash efficiency. Your background Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or broader finance functions, with strong understanding of end-to-end AP / AR processes and procedures. Demonstrated cash flow and debtor management expertise, including effective resolution of complex AR/AP queries. Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and implement practical solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) to support reporting, analysis, and daily operations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers. High level of numeracy and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, reporting, and reconciliations.
