We work flexibly from our Sydney CBD Office where you can expect to work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. About the role We are looking for a Senior Analyst who’ll have a core focus on expense analysis and reporting across the company to assist and drive robust decision making.  As a Senior Analyst you’ll be a trusted business partner to Senior Management and stakeholders supporting them with reporting, analysis, and insights around expenses. The expenses team is a subset of the broader performance and analytics team and includes two Senior Analysts, Senior Manager and a Head of. The team partner with a range of senior stakeholders across the company including the Group CFO. With a key focus on supporting stakeholders with their expenses base, you’ll be focused on process improvement and automation of existing reporting and analysis, and additional value add.   The team work collaboratively across all business areas, but you will likely take the lead on one or two key business areas.    Some of your core responsibilities will be; Produce and present monthly expense reporting results and analysis to key stakeholders including leadership team, cost centre owners and senior finance personnel. Drive a forward looking focus including rolling forecasts of the Group’s expense base. Undertake analysis vs budget / forecasts and preparation of accompanying commentaries. Drive expense discussions for the formulation of the annual budget and forecasting. Preparation of annual budgets including discussions with cost centre managers and leadership team, presentation of results and managing budget outcomes. Assist in preparation of half year end / year end analyst pack metrics and various market disclosures. Identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities The skills we need This role would suit someone with a FP&A or Senior Finance Analyst type background, with a focus on offering fantastic support and partnering to a senior stakeholder group.    You’ll need to have excellent financial accounting knowledge with ideally at least 3+ years post qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent) experience. You’ll also have Strong working knowledge of excel finance systems and data query tools. Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management. Impeccable attention to detail Working knowledge of cloud-based platforms Anaplan, Workiva, Workday, Power BI or similar platforms is advantageous.
