Akkurat Pty Ltd is an automation machinery manufacturer based in Brendale, Queensland that provides services to a vast range of industries including Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Coal Mining, and Coal Seam Gas. Akkurat Pty Ltd is currently seeking a full time, qualified Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer.
The salary offered is $100,000 per annum plus superannuation.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
• Performing electrical design, drafting and engineering works for clients across multiple industries such as Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Coal Mining, and Coal Seam Gas.
• Managing SCADA control room and preparing daily reports on remote gas wells.
• Determining the type and arrangement of circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers, transmission lines and other equipment for engineering works.
• Developing products such as electric motors, components, equipment and appliances.
• Interpreting specifications, drawings, standards and regulations relating to electric power equipment and use.
• Organising and managing resources used in the supply of electrical components, machines, appliances and equipment.
• Establishing delivery and installation schedules for machines, switchgear, cables and fittings.
• Supervising the operation and maintenance of power stations, transmission and distribution systems.
• Designing and installing control and signalling equipment for projects.
• Ensuring overall electrical compliance and completing relevant documentation and checklists.
• Compliance with dossiers, FAT testing and troubleshooting, and assisting workshop and field staff.
• Abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

The applicant will have the following skills and experience:

• A relevant degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge and experience in electrical and instrumentation compliance.
• Attentive to work and self-driven to solve problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Vision and leadership.
