ABOUT THIS EPIC OPPORTUNITY As an Ecologist at Epic, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological assessments, field surveys, and technical reporting across a range of projects in different industries. Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you will undertake flora and fauna surveys, offset monitoring projects, impact assessments, and implement management plans. On a day to day basis your work will be varied and include conducting field investigations, analysing ecological survey data, developing GIS mapping tools, preparing clear and accurate reports, and helping to develop practical environmental solutions. You will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, engage with landholders and project partners, and help ensure ecological values are identified, understood, and integrated into project planning. You would be joining Epic’s Ecology Team which is well respected in the industry. We work with a diverse range of national clients and projects and have undertaken ecological surveys across Queensland, New South Wales, Northern Territory and Tasmania. We are delivering a variety of projects in the resource, agricultural, energy (including renewables) and infrastructure sectors. WHAT MAKES YOU EPIC To be considered for this position you will need to possess the following skills and experience: Tertiary qualification from a recognised institute in Ecology/ Environmental Science/ Environmental Management or similar disciplines Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role Strong knowledge and experience conducting flora and/or fauna surveys Experience with GIS desktop software such as ESRI ArcGIS or QGIS and data collection packages ArcGIS Fieldmap and Survey 123 EPIC PERKS We believe that our staff are one of our greatest assets, and we ensure that our staff are fully supported in their role; are challenged to provide innovative outcomes for clients and the environment; and that they are provided with opportunities for professional development.
