Senior Data Support Engineer

Are you an experienced Data Support Engineer with strong SQL and Spark skills?

A leading Australian bank in Sydney is urgently seeking a Senior Data Support Engineer to join their growing team. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting their critical data analytics platform, ensuring the integrity and availability of their data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure data completeness and timeliness from various upstream sources.

• Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of data processing systems.

• Debug Spark and Python issues at both the platform and application levels.

• Implement best practices for data security, retention, and backup.

What You'll Bring:

• Advanced SQL scripting and querying skills.

• Experience with big data technologies, especially PySpark.

• Experience with Financial markets products is desirable.

• Knowledge of ETL, data integration, and migration projects.

• Experience in the financial sector, particularly with risk or compliance programs, is a plus.
