  • We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Technology Risk & Governance - Enterprise Data Services team.
  • In this role, you’ll leverage your technical skills to develop, maintain, and support innovative solutions that solve real-world challenges in the payments industry. From designing and building scalable systems to ensuring seamless integration with key technologies, your work will directly impact millions of users.

You’ll also make an impact by

  • Build and maintain an Integration Hub to enable data extraction, loading, and transformation (ELT) using Big Data technologies.
  • Manage and optimize ETL workflows, including troubleshooting and performance improvements.
  • Ensure high system availability through monitoring, fault diagnosis, and implementing changes.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to data platforms and datasets.
  • Implement and manage data governance policies across platforms.
  • Track and analyze recurring support issues to develop risk management strategies.
  • Oversee configuration changes to production environments in line with change management principles.
  • Maintain and support applications according to approved standards and enterprise architecture.
  • Deploy approved integration solutions and deliver enhancements.
  • Respond to incidents and manage system availability (change, incident, and problem management).
  • Process and manage large, complex datasets for analysis, including hierarchies, relationships, partitions, and views.
  • Qualifications
  • What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll have

  • At least 9+ years of recent experience building and managing large data platform environments in the cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of at least 1 cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Strong knowledge in data modelling philosophies like Kimball, Inmon or Data Vault.
  • Experience with modern MPP cloud-based data warehouse solutions such as Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Strong knowledge in Datalake and Data Warehousing techniques.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Databricks tunings and functions.
  • Ability to resolve application incidents, run problem management process to isolate root cause, sound exposure to change and release management methodologies.

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following

  • Experience in the financial services or payments sector
  • Experience working within PCI-DSS compliant environment.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and have worked in a product led organization.
  • Knowledge of Software Delivery and Development Lifecycle techniques and methodologies
