Role Summary
- Senior Copywriter based in Sydney. You'll lead creative strategy and craft persuasive copy across the customer journey for APAC initiatives. Requires strategic conceptual skills and expertise in translating complex technology into human terms for the Australian audience.
Role
- Drive creative thinking and copywriting across the full brand experience, from concept to delivery, spanning campaigns, product launches, social media, web, video, and events.
- Craft impactful, concise headlines and well-structured body copy, demonstrating equal comfort with long- and short-form writing that embraces the intersection of technology and humanity.
- Brand and Creative Strategy: Participate actively in brand development and creative strategy meetings that align with business objectives.
- Present concepts, copy, and creative rationale clearly to senior leadership.
- SEO, Analytics, and Research: Incorporate SEO best practices into all writing to improve search rankings and organic traffic.
- Monitor creative work using analytics and adjust strategies based on research and data to continuously optimise marketing performance.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams across Creative, Global Marketing, Digital, Research, Events, and Editorial to ensure cohesive messaging across all content touchpoints.
- Events and Experiential: Provide copywriting and conceptual support for corporate events and experiential marketing initiatives.
You
- Minimum 10+ years of experience writing copy for established global B2B, B2C companies, or equivalent freelance experience.
- At least 4 years of experience leading/concepting projects and presenting work to senior leadership.
- Expert knowledge of Australian market insights and local slang, with a strong understanding of what messages resonate most effectively with the Australian audience.
- A conceptual big thinker with the ability to take an idea and extend it flawlessly across all media and touchpoints along the marketing funnel.
- Proven ability to make complex concepts relatable and easily understandable for any audience, from upstream decision-makers to technical groups; translating technical offerings into human terms is paramount to your success.
- Experience working in the advertising space or on set copy direction for audio/video shoots would be preferred.
- Familiarity with embracing technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) in creative storytelling would be preferred.
- Knowledge of Ad Tech principles or experience using collaboration tools like Asana and Figma in creative processes would be preferred
- A self-starter who is extremely well-organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- A natural curiosity to learn about and understand new technologies, keeping up with current trends and industry insights.
- Proven track record of working effectively in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills across different markets.
- Contract type: 6 months fixed-term contract from March 2026 - September 2026
