The Role Working alongside leading partners Sonia Goumenis and Andrew Jinks, this is an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Associate to join Australia's pre-eminent securitisation practice. The securitisation practice has been a Band 1 Chambers ranked practice for well over 10 years, recognised as one of the leading securitisation practices in the Australian market. As a Senior Associate in this high-performing team, you will work on transactions and matters for a variety of clients including regular issuers, arrangers, warehouse funders, trustees and other participants. You will play a lead role in the drafting, review, and negotiation of finance documents, driving matter strategy, and engaging directly with clients. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering strong client relationships, contributing to thought leadership efforts, and supporting the team's growth through business development, training and mentoring of junior lawyers, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: 6 - 8 years' general banking and finance legal experience gained within a strong commercial law firm, with demonstrated experience in the role of Senior Associate; Experience acting on securitisation transactions and a desire to specialise in this area; Strong drafting and negotiation skills; Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management capabilities; The ability to efficiently and confidently project manage and drive matters forward simultaneously; Strong academic results.
