We are looking for a dedicated Senior Analyst Strategic Initiatives to support Financial Crime Services in achieving our vision: “To relentlessly pursue the elimination of financial crime.” FCO is accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing leadership of the Group’s financial crime operations shared service. FCO leads the Group’s approach to managing Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Sanctions risks and obligations through the provision of AML/CTF, KYC, Sanctions, ECDD and other operational services. The Role: You will be part of the FCO Strategic Initiatives & Governance function, responsible for supporting and enhancing the performance of FCO operational teams via strategic projects, workforce planning, capability, change, quality control as well as uplift across policy, process and risk. As a Senior Analyst Strategic Initiatives, you will support FCO by identifying and implementing opportunities in multiple initiatives to streamline and enhance processes. Enabling productivity and quality uplift, and ongoing compliance to the ever-changing nature of financial crime operations. Your efforts will directly contribute to enabling our operational teams to provide world-class prevention and detection of financial crime and safeguard the Group and wider community through our expertise, insights and quality. On any given day you will: Rigorously challenge process, people, and technology designs to identify and prioritise opportunities to increase capacity, decrease risks, eliminate errors & rework, and improve end-to-end customer and colleague experience. Identify opportunities for process automation and partner with technology partners to implement changes. Translate financial crime policies and standards into operational processes and business requirements. Assess and document the Current and Future states of business functions and processes to identify and recommend improvements. Support the project delivery / scrum team to break down work and translate requirements into functional specifications using appropriate method (e.g. backlog creation, user stories, etc.). Identify relevant stakeholders, select appropriate techniques and processes to derive and manage requirements. Define problems and opportunities. Perform data analysis that can be used to support or challenge business initiatives; and achieve desired customer outcomes. Effectively communicate requirements to stakeholders and manage conflicts, issues, and changes across various BUs i.e. Maintain effective relationships across FCS, FCC and other BUs Work with stakeholders to understand their needs, concerns and operating environment to define clear problem statements. Contribute to the conversion of business needs into functional designs with the intent of achieving desired outcomes. Contribute to assessment of dependencies and associated risk and compliance implications of requirements and solutions. Assist with developing and delivering on a roadmap of initiatives We’re interested in hearing from people who: Have demonstrated experience within Financial Crime, regulatory or law enforcement operations.
